Well, I'm not much of a fan of blogs, so looking through a website (http://www.technorati.com/) dedicated to sorting them was a bit tedious for me, but it was a learning experience. When I searched Technorati for Web 2.0 by keyword, I got quite a few results. Half of them seemed to be about the new apple iphone, while the others were business/techology related and quite a few more personal blogs which just happened to have 2.0 in them somewhere. I tried the same search again (but under blog posts instead of keyword) and found that most of the blogs actually seemed to be related to Web 2.0. So going by this little experiment, if you actually want to read about Web 2.0 programming/training it's best to search under blog posts rather than keyword because it weeds out anything unrelated to the search topic.
After playing with Technorati's popular blogs/searches/tags I wasn't really surprised by anything there, although there were a couple of things that caught my eye. I found the top 100 blogs (as voted by fans) interesting. It had a lot dedicated to gadgets, technology, money making schemes and other personal stuff, but one that caught my eye was the most popular one called Boing Boing (http://www.boingboing.net/). Technorati descibes it as "a weblog of cultural curiosities and interesting technologies", which is a nice way of saying wierd and wacky arcticles from around the world. It has things like book reviews, and bizzare articles like "Photograph of jumping shark behind surfers", "Murky Coffee's owner responds to espresso-over-ice kerfuffle", "Star Wars photoshopping contest" and "Shanghainese disco bunny steals UK govt official's heart, nicks his Blackberry". Another interesting site I found on Technorati was called blyberg (http://www.technorati.com/blogs/www.blyberg.net), which covers blogs that talk about library trends, events and news.
